The snowshoe events are designed for everyone. If you can walk 5-miles you will finish. There will be great competition for the endorphin junkies and great scenery and camaraderie for those looking for a little outdoor adventure. The two events make up the largest snowshoe race in the Northwest. In 2015 more than 250 are expected to participate.
White River 8K:
The White River 8K will begin at the White River West Sno-Park. The course is a 2-loop adventure through the White River Canyon. This is the oldest snowshoe event in the northwest. The route will leave the sno-park and travel to the end of the canyon and return. The course is a narrow loop. -- SOME COURSE CHANGES WILL be made if weather dictates. Course updates will be posted. Some of the course will be designed to include/accommodate snow conditions. It will be 8K.
White River 4K:
The White River 4K will begin at the White River West Sno-Park. The course travels through the upper White River Canyon. This smaller version of the 8K loop will serve as the US Juniors National qualifier. There will be one significant climb on the loop.
