PRIZE MONEY BREAKDOWN AND RULES

Requirements/Eligibility:
+ To be eligible to win prize money/awards/scholarships, individuals and teams must be a registered for the NW Mountain Running Championships..
+ Scholarships and the Green award are also only awarded to registered entrants.

Regardless of type of "award" you are applying for (scholarship, green award) the following rules apply:
+ Entry must be submitted on a single page (pdf/doc/jpg/html acceptable - check for other formats)
+ E-mail entries to: xdog@xdogevents.com with subject: NW Mountain Running Green

Prize Money:
To be eligible for individual or Team prize money, the entire course must be completed. Individuals not following the course will be disqualified. In the event of a tie, the officials will either determine a winner, or prizes will be divided.

MONEY Breakdown:
For Overall Men and Women:

1st Place: $800
2nd Place: $400
3rd Place: $200
First Master (Over 40): $300

Mid-Pack Finisher:$300 - In the spirit of the race!
If there are an even number of finishers two will split. Mid-pack finisher will be at the results officials determination.

TEAM COMPETITION MONEY:
The first place men's, women's, and mixed team will receive $500 (per team)
** Teams consist of four members and will be scored based on a teams top four finishers (Cross Country style). For a mixed team
there must be at least two men and two women. The top two men and top two women score for the team. Teams may have as
many individuals on them as they like -- but only the top four score. Men's Team = All Men. Women's Team = All Women

** Teams must be determined prior to the start of the RACE. No adding members after the race has started.

BONUS MONEY
++ Mid race preme announced at start (Male/Female): $250
Example: Could be the first to reach the highest point on the course at mile 2.6

++ THE GREEN AWARD: $300
All participants and volunteers may submit an idea as to how X-Dog Events can be more GREEN in 2009. The winning
suggestion will win $300. If more than one person has the same idea that we select, the winner will be chosen randomly.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE!
Hey... we know that the economy blows. So we are here to help. END and BACK IN MOTION and X-Dog are offering some SCHOLARSHIPS to help you get to the race (If you or your company wants to sponsor one let us know).
We have THREE scholarships available... and there may be more. $250/each.

You get ONE page to tell us why you should get the $250. Cram as many words as you want on one page, or place a few. Pictures are good too. BUT just one page. We will award the $250 on September 10, 2008. Winners will be posted on the site. No criteria. Just pitch us, and be creative. Entries due by September 7th.
