Course Information: The courses all follow trails, old logging roads, and some Forest Service roads (except for the swim). The courses are breathtaking with stunning views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and the Hood River Valley. Aid (water/Ultima) will be available at the start/finish and about every three miles on the courses.
The Triathlon: The triathlon will feature a 500m swim in the reservoir, followed by a 10-mile mountain bike, followed by a 5K run. The mountain bike will complete a 10-mile loop which will have some elevation gain as it flanks Mt. Defiance. The 5k run is a mostly wooded loop with some elevation gain. Triathlon teams are a relay - and may consist of two or three people. The bike and run portions feature trails, logging roads and a little bit of adventure.
The Half Marathon: The half marathon begins at the reservoir and completes a loop on the flanks of Mt. Defiance. The course is challenging with a with some significant elevation gains and losses!
