The Courses:
The courses are a little longer, but a little less vicious than the venues the rest of the year. Make no mistakes, there is filth and fun on this course... but we scaled it down a tad to warm you up for the new extremes we are working on for this summer. Liken it to jumping off a cliff instead of out of a plane.
For the Du: You complete the run, and then the bike. One run, one bike!
Bike Route:
The course will take you around Henry Hagg Lake -- Biking guru, Todd mcCarthy will be your entertainment director (course developer). The course will include a little bit of everything as it winds along the banks of Hagg Lake.
Running Route: course is 5.2 miles with about 85% on trail. 15% is paved... we just use the pavement to get you to better trail! The conditions vary depending on weater and participants will experience a variety of tremendous terrain.
The route features some great trails and fantastic views. A variety of terrain will be presented and some wooded adventure is guaranteed. The course will use some of the trail system that encompasses the lake. The start and finish will both be at Boat Ramp C.
Directions to the Event:
From Portland, take HWY 26 west. Take the Forest Grove Exit (Glencoe Rd.), and follow Glencoe Rd. into Hillsboro. In Hillsboro take HWY 8 (right) towards Forest Grove. Take a left on HWY 47. Then take a right at the yellow flashing light to HaggLake. After passing through the tollbooth, you will follow the signs to Boat Ramp C.
For other ditz's and those mental giants who cannot figure this out. LOOK it up on a map. You can reach HWY 47 and Hagg Lake from many different directions. And do not whine about our directions. We give you one route, if you want to do this event bad enough (and you should) then figure it out, and get there early.
POST EVENT:
We will have some food and beverages available and there will be some random prizes given out...
REGISTRATION IS OPEN.
